Parking sensors

Featured Replies

Anyone having trouble with the reverse parking sensors in this wet and damp weather? Mine are playing up when they are wet.

I have had this on previous cars when it has been snowing - but not just rain, or even a damp day. They constantly beep when in reverse.

This is usually one or more faulty sensors.

If at any time you do not get a constant beep, check by standing at the rear when it is in reverse and see which one is faulty. They beep diferently depending haow near the sensor you stand.

Cheers

John

Give them a quick wipe before you set off, this usually does the trick

Yes cleaning them helps especially when the car is waxed as some wax sticks in the groove of the sensor......having said that I had trouble with mine and jaguar did a reset of the software .... bob

hi mark and hello every one, been a member since last year but its my first time on the forum. ive got a 57 plate xk. the parking sensors in mine play up as well. ive had two replaced, and the cars booked in to local jag dealer on the 24th feb for the third to be replaced. but its getting done under warranty as i bought an approved used from them. warranty runs out in april. so im hopping for no more trouble. but it seems that the damp weather goes for them. they play up for a while then it goes away. other than that its magic thats what i call her lol . charlie
