Hi All - sorry about lack of input  - but I've had serious problems with my broadband of late (honest) . But can anybody help - my X type (3.0 ltr SE, running on LPG) is experiencing loss of power, intermittently, with the odd misfire etc, some days it's fine and some days it's pretty ropey! It's has been running a MIL light for a couple of years now due to the LPG conversion causing some faulty emmission readings,  but has been running faultlessly till now. I've invested in a cheap OBD2 scanner, and the only code it shows is U3FFF - but for the life of me I can't find out what it means - has anybody got any ideas ????

i have a feeling the misfire may be setting off the knock sensor and then the car goes into limp mode i've just found out the plugs in the jag are long life plugs chances are they have never been changed and at £6 each it doesn't suprise me ...they should be changed at about 75k miles but also the coil packs are prone to fail when hot/warm/damp and then seem ok again

Cheers for the speedy suggestion to my prob - your probably right about the plugs needing changing - the car has done 132K miles - all of which, upto now, have been faultless - but would still love to know about the DTC code U3FFF, anybody got any clues?

In the meantime I'll source some new spark plugs !!!

here is what i have found out,...my solus pro can't read the abs which means i can't find out which sensor it is on my brakes but i can eobd read the engine for codes .............. that group of digits is a comunication error because the scanner can't read the system

Hi - Thanks for the tip - I've taken the plunge and ordered a full service kit (plugs included !). and a set of second hand coils packs - tested and in perfect working order - £39.99 from jojags near Liverpool - a bit of a gamble I know, but it's better than £250 for a new set !!!!! Have spent the day swotting up on my service manual, to see what's involved taking off the intake manifold - watch this space!

take the air filter top off disconnect the maf loosen the clip on the intake pipe undo the screws on engine cover the intake manifold is held in place by i think 10mm bolts two of which are longer (6 of) undo them pull the manifold to passenger side there is a breather pipe to disconnect then undo the coil bolts one by one disconnecting the lead as you go
