Bosch make an excellent wiper-blades replacement for Jaguar XJ6 (x350) 03/2003 to 07/2010. The are BOSCH AR608S AEROTWIN. The include both drivers & passengers side wiper-blades (24" & 19") and have the built-in screen washer. They're a easy fit. You only have to swap the screen washer nozzle to the opposite side for right-hand drive vehicles. They are available from Euro-car Parts for about £22 (PART CODE: 485670020). I have fitted them to my XJ6 (El-Grandé) & they're brilliant. Smooth, no smearing or juddering. They also fit S-Type (10/2001 to 07/2010)

Just a guess, Richard, but when I did it on my s type the part holding the blade clicked out when a little force was exercised.

Thanks Peter, the problem is that the wiper arm is partly overlapped by the bonnet and therefor cant be folded out as the edge of the bonnet is so close to the wiper, same applies whether the bonnet is open or closed.

I lifted up the bonnet to get to the passenger side, Richard. The driver's side was easy.  The XJ and the s type are fairly similar in parts, but different in size!

Thanks again Peter, took it to Halfords, on this model the wiper arms dont fold out, theres a clip on the underside of the fitting and when pressed it releases the wiper fitting, the washer assembley has to be unclipped from the the wiper arm, Im going to practise doing this myself when we get better weather.

Thanks mate, got them done at Halfords, they dont fold back, there is a small spring clip on the underside of the blade, you just press that and the blade slides clear of the arm.

Just changed the blades on my car.  I have to say it would probably have been easier, and less inclined to chip the edge of the bonnet, if the arm is removed first.  The new arms do not have an aerofoil; does it matter?  Or can the aerofoil from the old blade be fitted to the new one.
