Can anyone help.

I have a 98 XJ8 4.0 with a heater problem. The a/c has been checked, re gassed and is working ok. Blowing out cold almost instantly. However, as soon as the engine reaches a normal temperature there is no control of the interior temperature. The system only blows hot air even with the a/c at its lowest. The heat becomes unbearable after about 10 minutes and we have to open the windows. This occurs regardless of the outside temperature. So even on a cold night the heater is red hot.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Neil

....bit of a strange fault this one.

Have you tried switching the controls from automatic climate control to manual override?

Only thinking, if there is a fault with any of the climate control sensors then these could be controlling the system to run hot all the time.

Maybe some other members have come across this fault before???

Regards,   Trevor
