Hi, I drive a newly acquired 'W' reg. S Type, 3.0ltr SE auto...which has a plastic lens cover for the headlights - completely separate to the headlight assembly. Question is...how do I get the cover off to clean it? Had a good look & can't see a way of removing the cover without going to a lot of trouble - does anybody know the way to remove the cover in order that I can clean it?

My 2007 S type appears to be the same, but I think they are a Jaguar standard fitting.  There are instructions in the handbook [Page 121] which tells you how to set the lights up for continental use which involves removing the outer cover.  Apparently a Jaguar dealer will supply a conversion kit.

Has your car got a headlamp washer?  Mine keeps them clean OK.
