Hi Mark,

I had a 2005 x type 2.5 Petrol SE with the 17" normal wheels.  It was a very comfortable ride.

I think that the sports wheels plus possible alterations to the suspension might be the reason for the bumpy ride.

I have also heard that the tyres can also make a difference to the ride.

I have always had Pirelliis as Jaguar recommend.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Mark,

If you do intend to do some high speed driving [over 100 mph] the tyre pressure has to be higher.   The number of speed cameras in Staffordshire makes speeding a bit expensive, though!

Peter.

Peter,

Don't the cobbles streets slow things down a bit though?

ATB,
