HI New to the forum and looks like there are lots of discussion on the x type forum .My first jaguar was a x type 2'0 D 2005 bought in 2007 only problem a split turbo hose sold it in Oct 2011 and got another x.type a2'2 auto s 2008 model sold it after 18 months , was going to wait for the replacement model but 6 weeks without a car was a bit of a pain ,had a look at A4 , focus, MondeoBMW decided on another x type a 2009 2'2 auto sovereign saloon with 12,300 miles purchased in March 2013 great car have had it waxold and will be keeping this one it,s not a Mondeo.                                                                                                                                                            Trooper2142

Welcome to the Club, Tom.

 

You will find a lot of Jaguar owners who just love these cars.

 

The x type has some Mondeo bits in it, but it has been commonplace for the last 60 years for parts and engines to be shared between manufacturers.  Even Rolls Royce had a Buick engine since the forties!

 

Enjoy the Club and your  Jaguar  ---   perhaps some pictures on the site.
