My name is Paul, I live in the NW of England. I have always wanted a Jaguar car but never really got round to getting one. I have driven a few, E Type, XJ6, XK120, XJS, plus others but never owned one. I have owned other big cars and 4x4, so running costs was not an issue. I have since first seeing one, liked the X Type Jaguar, they look the part and having had cancer three times and now receiving a fourth time for cancer, I thought it prudent to get one. I only wish I had made that choice earlier. I have purchased a 2.5Litre, AWD, Sport, Automatic. The only thing missing is cruise control, it doesn't have it and I do miss cruise control. My wife grabs the keys to the Jaguar when taking me to Christies Hospital, she likes to be posh. She has her own car, a Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4. Anyway I would like to say "Hello" and if I have any difficulties or I need any advice regarding my car, I hope I can come to this forum and ask. By the way I will see this cancer off, it will not get me.

   Regards  Paul G.

Welcome to the club, Paul.

We're a helpful, friendly bunch here. I've joined 4 Jaguar based forum clubs and only use this one now.

Feel free to ask for any advice, or to offer any of your own. Pretty sure we can all offer some nuggets of wisdom somewhere, however, carcinogenics isn't my strong point.

I truly wish you all the best with your battle. I lost my grandmother to lung cancer in 1995 and it wasn't pleasant. I won't say I know how you feel, because I don't, but I do have an understanding.

We're all genuinely interested in each others lives (and cars) so keep us all up to date if you wish.

Best wishes,

Mick

Best wishes from me too, Paul, and welcome to the Club.

Hope you fight with Big C is resolved and you enjoy your Jaguar.  I used to have a 2.5 AWD x  type and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had Cruise control but rarely used it.

Regards,

Peter.

Same as you Paul. Just got my first Jaguar. (X type). Always dreamed of getting one. Just joined too. Good luck.
