I have just gone back to my trusty HTC phone after endless battery issues with my Samsung Galaxy.

The sim card I have just transferred also but when i attempt to pair up to the car there is no response at all.

I own an XF 2010 model and it did pair up ok with the Samsung.

As 2 devices are trying to connect to each other I have no idea which way to go.... :(

Has any other XF owner had experience of this annoying problem.?

Welcome to the Club, Mick.

Have you deleted the Samsung?

I had a problem with my S type and had to get a new SIM card for my Samsung.

Peter.

Mick,

Been trawling through various forums and some peeps seem to have trouble with HTC and Vodophone software . I seems to take several attempts to pair up.

" It took several attempts to pair with the car. After 3
attempts (offering the same 4 digit key) a different key was displayed,
which enabled a successful pairing."

Or get a teenager to do it might be the best way. Personally I can't stand the things and don't have one.

Thank you Trevor & Peter for your responses.

I have made several unsuccessful attempts and as yet zilch...not even the appearance of a 4 digit number.

Trevors suggestion to find a tecky teenager might turn out to be the best possible solution.

Cheers

Mick,

the wife's phone paired with my XKR ok, think it's some Samsung thing, I don't have anything to do with them. Just have music in my car

Hi Trevor - My guitar strutting 32 yr old nephew has sorted me out....Apparently under the settings of Bluetooth on my HTC phone there is a 'discoverable' box

which should have been ticked which I wasn't aware of as I'm not much of a tecky guy so at least all is up and running now.

Thanks again..

Mick,

Glad you got it sorted, don't get me started about music, I am obsessed according to the wife and daughters , I'm also a retired music researcher.

Took the XKR out for a spin over Exmoor yesterday, to a place called Withypool in Somerset . Got a lot of compliments and questions about the car, I don't think it was because it was a Jag, but more likely it is the first time they had seen a car !

Mind you the petrol was cheap, I got five gallons for a pound .

Although the bridge could do with updating, it was murder to cross !
