Help !! Climate control problem on 2000 V6 S-Type.

Featured Replies

Hi all, I hope you can help.

My 2000 S-Type V6 3.0 heating is faulty.

The drivers side is continuously hot, passenger side seems ok and no cooling air con.

I have replaced the climate control valve beside the radiator and replaced the heater control unit in the dashboard but it is still the same.

I was going to get the air con charged but didn't see the point if it's still going to blow hot.

I'm now out of ideas, please help.

Regards

Stuart

I would reccomend getting the aircon checked out if it has lost gas you really dont want to leave it empty that will do further damage and it should be left always on!!! I never switch mine off you need to keep the oil in the syatem circulating you dont want the rubber seals drying out and cracking due to lack of lubrication...

Welcome to the Club, Stuart.

I agree with Richard.  Jaguar recommend that Climate control should always be left switched on.

Also, if you have the touch screen you can look at the settings for air distribution.

There are plenty of places you can get the Climate control checked out.

Peter.

Can you advise where the low pressure valve is located please?

Hi James

I have no idea to be honest... I'm not an aircon engineer

they are usually easy to spot tho metal pipe with a plastic cap of sorts underneath the cap the valve looks the same as on a tyre where you would blow them up as for which is the high and low I really couldn't advise

  • 4 months later...

have a similar issue, aircon is working, but have no heat. Maybe suspect the heating control valve is faulty. What is the most likely fault causing no heat in cabin??
