hello all I have an XF 3 litre diesel and I have been told by the dealer that I have an air con leak on the pipe running from the front near side and behind the near side front wheel wing liner. They say the pipe has probably been hit by a stone but the pipes are hardly visible as they are behind all the front bumper etc.

I must say I feel very sceptical about this for some reason as it must be incredibly difficult, not to say very bad luck to penetrate such a strong pipe by this means.

Has anyone heard of this before ?

Many thanks

John

Hi Johno,

I must say that I have never heard this one before either.  Usually such pipes are rather strong, and stones not that sharp.

I would be inclined to look for an independent garage, or  an air con specialist.

Regards,

Peter.
