  1. Hi. I had a similar problem a year or so ago. Was F35 actually blown? If not it could be worth checking the relayas well. I "believe" that it would be R15 in the central fuse box. (You know; the one you need to be a contortionist to get to 😉) I did a quick test by swapping it out with R19 which is the reverse light relay. Not the ideal solution but I don't know how to bench test relays. Incidentally do you have uprated bulbs in the main beams? Just wondering what could have overloaded the system? Hope you get it sorted Dave
  2. Hi everyone. I was having an issue with the idle on my 2002 x-Type Sport (the 2.5 V6 one). Following a spark plug change I noticed that the car which usually idles at around 800 was revving itself when the car was moving (for instance if I let it coast slightly at low speeds it would rev up to about 1200 and back again.) The EWL came on and it gave me a code of 0507 (revving higher than expected.) And after I bit of research I found that the IAC valve may be sticking. I've taken it off and cleaned out the carbon. Bit that's actually seemed to worsen the problem. It's now idling at about 2000rpm dropping to about 1800 rpm after a few seconds. Has anyone in here had any similar experiences or any top tips on what to try next? Any help and advice great fully received. Thanks in advance David

  4. Afternoon all. I'm about a year into my first jag. (And first car actually) but that has more to do with the fact I was a biker for years before I decided that having something rainproof wrapped around me was a better idea than a full body kagool! I have a 2002 X-Type sport the 2.6 v6. With a faultless MOT history. (Very lucky find) Big believer in the forums as there can be a wealth of knowledge locked away on these message boards. Thanks David
