see attached, when I was looking into rebuilding the jag (2010 XKR) I found RR had the same parts but different part numbers. I believe the 5.0 Jag and RR are based off the same block but you need to confirm for yourself, I don't want to you buy something you can't use. I went for the short block because I wasn't able to find much info on bearings and getting the crank ground down and then get oversized bearings. Decided the safest bet was the get the block with new crank pistons rods etc. The photos I took when I first got the engine, if you need more you might need to wait till weekend. bought it last year, so nearing a year now. The block for the NA and super charged are the same, Its the heads that determines the compression. Look the part number up on a jaguar dealer parts site, it will show the applications, any Jag with 5.0 liter block its good for. Let me know if you need any more info. I have a XKR-S now, so if I don't sell it I'll just keep it for a spare, its in the original shipping crate. Steve

I bought a 2010 XKR with a blown engine. Idea was to rebuild the engine with my 3 young boys (12, 11 and 6), and as you might imagine I made great progress for a few weeks then it turned from fun to work and they lost interest. By that time I'd ordered and bought a brand new short block from Jaguar AJ812891 (these retail around $9,000). So long story short I sold the car as a project to another brave soul, who has actually swapped the engine from a wrecked car and its back on the road. I now have a brand new engine sat in my garage waiting on the next car in need. Let me know if you need any more info, if I don't sell it I guess I'll have a spare should my XKR-S ever need one but that isn't my ideal. Asking $6,500 plus shipping. Hi Dave, I'm down in Seattle and take my car (2014 XKR-S that I bought in Vancouver) off the road for winter, in addition to the battery tender, I have a garage not to far from me that sells ethanol free gas, I run her as low as possible and fill her up with a tankful of that gas, I also use these to stabilize the fuel and clean the injectors. Hi Ant, I'm in the middle of respraying the front bumper cover on my XKR-S (removing license plate holes), so I do know how to get it out. There are 3 bolts in total to remove, 2 you can remove from the front of the car with the hood up - they should be obvious, there is a third bolt which requires you taking the wheel liner off and removing it from the inside of the wheel well. Once all 3 are removed and you unplug the connector it should come out. A little fiddly but doable. Let me know if you need any photos. Steve

My 2014 XKR-S had its front right wheel liner ( the one you have to remove to get to the air filter) replaced before I bought the car, the service record says it was warped. Anyway as you can see from the photos the liner doesn't appear to be correct for my car. There is a cut out for where the bumper meets the fender, the LF aligns perfectly, the new one it isn't even close. I've got them both off and the numbers stamped into the material appear to be right but I'm guessing that is common to all models and the cut outs determine the correct fitment. If anybody is about to do an air filter service could you take a look at the liners side by side and help me identify the correct part number please. The part number ordered and installed by Jaguar was C2P21375 which appears to be right but it does fit correctly. The numbers pressed into the liners are LF BW83 7F01F AB RF BW83 7F01F CB

Good day, I just saw a nice XKR-S for sale here in Washington, expensive at $60K but looks incredible in french racing blue. When looking at the photos the speedo only goes up to 180, I thought the XKR-S had a 190 MPH speedo in part due to top speed being 186 mph. Greetings, just took my car into Jaguar and they told me my car is missing the tray that goes under the engine. There are more than one part number for the part but without seeing what is missing I can't order it. Hi, I bought a 2014 XKR-S in Canada more than 3 months ago, my check cleared the day after the border closed so she has been stuck in the dealer in Vancouver for 3 months as I was waiting for the border to open again. When they announced it would stay shut until July 21st I decided to use a broker. I should have bit the bullet and paid the extra sooner, it was extremely pain free. Drove to Blaine (I live in Newcastle) with a trailer and picked the car up, I had to wait 5 minutes for the broker to cross the border. If you need a really good broker, text me and I'll pass on his details. So now I have my car home, and loving every minute. 20,660 miles from new and I have about 5 weeks of the extended warranty left. Question everybody with cars with power folding mirrors, do your mirrors rub when they close, mine has a nice groove in the paint where it catches when folded in. Anything in particular I should be looking at for a final warranty claim? I can buy a further 4 years of warranty after a $300 CPO pre-check for about $5,500 but after just paying for car, I'm curious to see if people would roll the dice or is this a good investment? Hi, I'm just starting on a full short block replacement on my 2010 XKR. I have the new block and as I'm reading up on what needs to happen for a successful engine rebuild. I'm seeing I need a lot of quite expensive tools, so far most are around getting the Crankshaft dampener off. These are the part numbers 303-1437 Crankshaft Damper remover/installer 303-1438 Crankshaft Damper bolt removal/installer 303-1439 Crankshaft Damper removal plate 303-1440 Crankshaft Damper remover/installer stud 303-1441 Crankshaft Damper remover/installer body 303-1448 locking tool 303-1304 locking tool Does anybody have a set of tools they might be willing to loan or rent for a few days, seems crazy to have to buy all these for a couple of hours work. Hi, quick update, decided to go the short block route, haven't had a great deal of luck finding information or part numbers on over sized bearings, so bought a short block P/N AJ812891. Brand new engine, not rebuilt and no core. Being as I live in Seattle I actually took advantage of the exchange rate and bought it from Jaguar in Vancouver. Still not got the old engine out yet, taking my time and not rushing, trying to enjoy the rebuild.New engine sitting in the garage patiently waiting on the transplant. Intend to add a pre-oiler at the same time so as to maximize the life of the new engine.

Hi, I'm about to start a rebuild on a 2010 XKR engine, I've been looking around for parts and noticed Jaguar offer a short block for the 5.0. What I find confusing and I'm sorry for my ignorance here, I thought the compression ratio was due to different shaped piston heads but the short block is supposedly used in the XKR and the XK. Is the compression difference due the heads and has nothing to do with the bottom end of the engine (Crank, block, pistons and connecting rods are all part of the same short block). Steve
