  1. Hello all I have a beautiful XF-s 3.0v6 Diesel which has done 123,600 miles and my Alternator has failed. I have bought a reconditoned unit, but wanted to ask if anyone can answer whether it is easy or difficult to replace? I've had a look under the bonnet and it looks like it needs to be accessed from underneath. Has any one done this at home on the ground and able to tell me whether it was easy enough to do it for yourself, or is best I take it to a garage and get them to replace it? Any advise would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance Ken
  2. My XF-s 3.0v6 Diesel is less economical on every other run! Has anyone else experienced this problem, or indeed - Solved this stange problem??
  3. I love my x-type for a number of reasons! It's comfortable, quiet and stylish, with (real) wood, leather and suede. It drives beautifully, will pull away in 3rd gear from 700 rpm without hesitation, It is a Jaguar (AJ) engine - despite a lot of people thinking that it is a Mondeo engine! It is lovely quality all round and it's a JAGUAR!! and British!! I've had and driven the German opposition, which are far too hard on suspension and seats etc.. Give me the Jag any day :-)
