  1. So I've got an update from the garage I bought the car from... Apparently the problem was caused by a blocked DPF? They've done a forced Regen on the car and now it's working fine. I've not seen the car yet or any receipts for the work done ect so when I pick it up I will be taking it to another garage for clarification. Just wanted to pick everyones brains as to whether you think a DPF would cause the car to stutter like this?
  2. So update... Plugged the car in and no codes were found. Which is strange because it was in restricted performance mode. Might be the brick I used (although I did try 2) Anyway the garage I brought the car from has said that I'm still covered by their warranty and as I'm within the 30 days of the purchase of the vehicle I am also still covered under my consumer rights to return the car too. The car is currently back with the garage I bought it from and its getting the once over to find out the problem. I'll keep you all updated with that they come back with as I will need advice on whether you guys think its correct or not. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and its just an air leak or something easy to fix
  3. My neighbour has a generic one he uses for his audi a3 (2016). With that being a relatively new car I presume it should work. I'll use his tonight and see if it comes up with anything and if it doesnt work I'll look at purchasing the one you have. Thanks again Jimbo, I'll keep this thread updated with my findings (if any)
  4. Thanks for the advice JimboV8. Would any code reader work or would it have to be a jaguar specific one? I know there are lots of generic readers out there but with it being a rather high end car I just want to check it doesnt need a special one. The car isnt as smooth as it should be whilst driving and the revs still fluctuate whilst holding steady motorway speeds. The rev needle just bounces up and down even at constant speed with a smooth pressure on the accelerator. There is a slight delay on accelerating from a standstill though. When I set off and depress the accelerator there is a slight lag from pressing it down and the car accelerating. I've attached some more videos In the hope it explains what I'm experiencing a little more. 20200605_134648.mp4 20200605_134842.mp4 20200605_134559.mp4
  5. I'm having the same problem with my rear doors. But mine dont unlock or lock at all unless I manually press the lock of on both interior door handles. I've been told its something to do with the actuators? But not had it officially diagnosed yet.
  6. Good afternoon fellow Jaguar owners (and non owners) I am new to this forum, and new to the jaguar life so please be kind. If this isnt posted in the correct place then please let me know. As I said I'm new. So I've recently purchased an 08 2.7 litre luxury automatic diesle XF on 110,000. Everything has been going great until today. When I pull up to traffic lights or stop with the car I'm experiencing juddering, inconsistent revs (even though my foot is on the brake and not on the accelerator) and the car seems like she is struggling, spluttering and almost stalling. I have a video of when I'm parked on the drive and you can kind of make out the juddering if you compare the steering wheel to the background. Excuse my little lad in the background he just really wanted to get out the car and the poor quality but I just dont know how else to portray the issue. Now my car is showing up with restricted performance on the dash too. It feels like the car is struggling to remain consistent when idling eithing parked up, at traffic lights ect ect Any help of advice will be really helpful. ***edit*** It's not just the steering wheel that shudders, it's the whole car I was just using the steering wheel as reference to show the vibrations. 20200605_135201.mp4
