  1. The most likely cause of a drain that large is the “alarm chirp sounder”. The internal batteries degrade over time and short out causing the drain. Disconnect it and then see what happens.
  2. If you go through this page to find the one you need you will at least get the part number, it may make it easier to find. https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/part/id/250.1121.2713.12497/brand/jaguar/
  3. Check relay R3 and fuse F23 30A in the auxiliary junction box as a first port of call.
  4. Here’s one in Ireland; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167490959257?_skw=Jaguar+XF&itmmeta=01K16GVZ0BKP2FGF1DCTN720MC&hash=item26ff3d3799:g:fX0AAOSwC2JoFM~4&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA8MHg7L1Zz0LA5DYYmRTS30mRRdfuYUeC1zkW7Odi%2BQUKrOukr%2F9ZbOgBSyrqqZc2VX9unfHiow0%2BnbViA4eCiPPllWv8Qb6iXZMyEoTO0bLNbyTJiQJq%2BdnAoO4fRZ44%2FS8gs12ls0G2TJ%2B4X7%2FlUPob4EEvABl11hmBXCr3oWQzJlASu%2B0p28KJwqgCyDaJ3%2BWlYyqS0tc%2FLPt%2FOV2SuEqEpP8bd2YuCronU7K5m2lQgoo2ZaKvHBTjOeP088Ufr5Td1%2B%2FfMmsDqKnHzLrVc6Bd8nVU0ZVH4RrBCnrLU5T5Q%2FQceQCia5ryZimx7dhtSw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6zw79CJZg
  5. I would suggest you check the “alarm chirp sounder”. This is by and large the most common fault with discharging batteries. Disconnect it and then see if the battery dies.
  6. Page 10 of this catalogue, item number 5 and this is the part number XR854185. https://cdn.sngbarratt.com/catalogues/new/2019/CATS-Download2019.pdf
  7. Hopefully this will help you out; airbag code 16 indicates a passenger seat weight sensor CAN fault. This means there's a communication issue with the sensor that detects if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. The CAN (Controller Area Network) is a communication bus that various modules in the car use to talk to each other, and the fault code suggests a problem with the signal from the passenger seat weight sensor being transmitted over the CAN. Here's a more detailed explanation: Passenger Seat Weight Sensor: This sensor is located under the passenger seat cushion and is designed to detect the weight of a person sitting there. CAN Fault: The CAN bus is a communication network that allows different modules in the car to exchange data. If the passenger seat weight sensor is not communicating properly with the other modules (like the airbag control module) via the CAN, it will trigger code 16. Possible Causes: Faulty weight sensor under the seat. Wiring or connection issues in the passenger seat weight sensor circuit. A problem with the CAN bus itself (less likely). Faulty passenger airbag module.
  8. Or this one is cheaper; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/236042013477?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200818143230%26meid%3D487a759eeb374eee875584124e11feb7%26pid%3D101224%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D225298969233%26itm%3D236042013477%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DDefaultOrganicWebV9BertRefreshRankerWithCassiniEmbRecall%26brand%3DJaguar&_trksid=p2332490.c101224.m-1

  10. This is a common fault on the XK8 and here is a video showing you how to repair it.
  11. Hello and welcome Julian. Try this one; https://britcar.com/product.php/317608/5497/boot___trunk_release_button_gold___ruby___jaguar___xj_1995_to_1997_daimler_variants
  12. Try this;
  13. The noise is mostly likely the aspirator fan behind the dashboard. This picture shows how much dust can accumulate on the sensor part at the grill. Removing the dash surround and thoroughly cleaning and blowing out with air may help.
  14. Here is the front right; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Height-Sensor-C2C2242-Jaguar-Suspension/dp/B0CM4SXSR2
  15. There are places that can repair your existing one, unless it’s too far gone.
