  1. Hello Fraser, I have an 06 2.2 sport and the pedal is fine. If the pedal actually goes softer after beeing pressed it is definately faulty. It sounds to me like you have air in the system. A preassure bleed could help, if you could clamp the flexi pipes (if you can get to them) to three wheels and check each brake in turn, alternating the free wheel, it would be an easier fix that way.
