  1. I did not need discs John as they were in good order and not a lot of wear on them, just the pads, they were EBC pads and sensor. My mech only uses parts he would use on his own vehicles.

                                          Thanks for your input buddy

  2. Because I suffer with this cold weather I got the job done by the mechanic we have used for some 35 years. the back pads were like new front pads just starting to wear the sensor so just changed the front discs. £130 parts and labour. Great value I think

Hi. Normal garage tools will be enough (spanners' sockets, Allen keys). Check out You tube for videos. If you're looking for pads, discs and wire, I can recommend MTec brakes in Derry/Londonderry. Free postage. I'm using their EBC Red and drilled discs.

    Good luck, Paj.

Thank you Paj that's a great help I will look at the Mtec site.

  4. That is correct Pash Had to have mine replaced by the dealer under warrant, however you can get the loom from E-Bay and it is not a difficult job to do yourself. My camera still sometime does not work the I go for a drive and it come back on again, weird thing these Jaguar XF's

Hi , can you let me know the outcome of what happened as I am now experiencing that exact same issue in my jaguar xf s luxury premium 2013, did you need to replace the whole tail light unit as this is what I have been told as you apparently can't buy indicator bulbs..

They are a sealed unit containing the LED's.

I had this problem on my XF luxury and yes after messing around, cleaning this a that as advised by different sources, I had it replaced. It was done under warranty by the dealer I bought it from.

    Hi

connect it directly to the battery, make sure it has a inline fuse on the positive as close to the battery as possible

then just have the plug in the boot where its easy to access

I have the genuine jaguar ctek in mine, that cam with a proper socket thats mounted in the boot side carpet, so you just open the boot and plug the charger in, the boot can be closed while its on charge, the boot seal wont damage the cable, but make sure the battery vent pipe is still fitted, some people dont bother with the vent pipe on the battery, but it vent dangerous explosive gases out of the car, not trapped in the boot

    cheers

    Joe

Thank you Joe, I shall look for the battery vent pipe and connect if necessary
