Hi Shaun, the variance likely comes about because there is no drain plug on the 5.0 S/C engine and the oil should be removed by "vacuuming" out via the tube designed specifically for the task. You are then required to replace the exact amount removed and thereby avoid over filling. That said, the following should be adhered to, including the oil removed with the filter replacement: Quantity: 7.25 Litres Type: 0W-20 or 5W-20 Specification: Fully Synthetic to Jaguar recommended spec. A small word of warning on the use of the one touch fob button for roof raise and lower. Whilst it is a nice trick, the recommendation is NEVER raise or lower the roof of a convertible without the engine running. i.e. don't rely on the battery to do the work. Batteries in the X-150 have a hard life and I have always recommended that the battery be replaced at 5 years old. Many, many spurious faults arise from a poor battery and in today's world, the ability to start the car is not the best indication of its health.

In 99 out of 100 of these events, it is down to the "Ducks Bill" drain from the AC. Original post indicated that the garage fixed the leak from the AC, but did not clarify what was leaking or what was fixed. It is a high possibility that the Ducks Bill is blocked and requires to be updated to the newer version.
