Hi Cameron Well have you bought an x type sport yet we haven,t heard, I drive a 09 2-2 Auto Sovereign with Touring Suspenion , have never tried the sport model as prefer a softer cushioned journey. Regards Tom

Hi Margaret There is a Company called Indespenion Trailers there Branch in Edinburgh fits Towbars and Electrics and there must be a Branch near you as I think this Company comes from the Midlands Area.Saying that Jaguar,s could be different as the Honest John Web Site advices potential customers not to buy the x type because of the difficulty in connecting the Electric,s.I no longer look at this Web Site as he Rip,s the x type to Pieces. He say,s x type should not be bought for Towing.I'm sure you will get a lot of advice from the S type Forum. Regards Tom

I love the 2-2 engine with the 6 speed auto box great and you can put into Manuel Mode and move the lever without having to clutch and use some of the Revs in a great Engine. And it's always a pleasure getting into the car and driving off , never thought I would like an Auto Gearbox so much. Regards Tom

Hi Roy Welcome to the Club, I have never used a Cover on my Cars over the years as I have thought that they would leave scratch marks on the paintwork when the cover gets blown about with the wind, will look to see how you get on with looking for a Cover ,and enjoy your Jag. Regards Tom

Hi Gareth Welcome to the XF Forum in the Club nice looking car and enjoy your XF . I would like to inform you to check paintwork along Top Edge of Chrome Jaguar Signature Blade as this is prone to rusting and can be repaired under 6 year warranty . Seemingly this wasn't, rectified till the XF 2012 Model came out . I'm in the X Type Forum and X Type's have this problem also. Your car may have been Repaired , this Chrome Blade seems to be fitted to close to the paintwork and is caused by vibration Don't be put of by this and enjoy your Car. Regards Tom

Hi Peter Thanks for your comments, warning light has never come on.But must say I do not regret buying the x type. As it gives great pleasure when driving it and the Auto is great even if I have to Pay More Road Tax. Well Mercedes have gone under ground to get away from Jags , Down a Salt Mine in fact some where in Cheshire UK who supply salt for UK,s winter roads.They dropped them down a shaft Nose First to drive around some 130 miles of Tunnels.Must be checking what reaction the Salt has on the cars Chassis Regards Tom

Has anybody experienced regeneration of diesel particulate filter . Travelled 26 miles and stopped in car park kept engine running as you do ,to lubricate turbo, and thought I had blown rear box on exhaust noise was quite horrendous .went shopping and returned to car checked oil level and was in between Max-Min Level on dip stick where I keep oil level . Travelled back home and exhaust noise back to normal .Previous journey was 160 mile round trip to Mackies Tour .Do these DPFilters Re Gen after every journey over so many miles Regards Tom

HI New to the forum and looks like there are lots of discussion on the x type forum .My first jaguar was a x type 2'0 D 2005 bought in 2007 only problem a split turbo hose sold it in Oct 2011 and got another x.type a2'2 auto s 2008 model sold it after 18 months , was going to wait for the replacement model but 6 weeks without a car was a bit of a pain ,had a look at A4 , focus, MondeoBMW decided on another x type a 2009 2'2 auto sovereign saloon with 12,300 miles purchased in March 2013 great car have had it waxold and will be keeping this one it,s not a Mondeo.
