  4. Just a very quick update on things for you. I am waiting until the beginning of May, when I will start the last big push to get the last of the prizes, and donations in, for our event. After these are all in I can officially announce the prizes for the free prize draw, and for the 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' title winner. Additionally I am still waiting on Welcome Pack top-ups to come in, which will cater for the possibility that we may be oversubscribed this year, which to be honest is a very likely scenario. The 'Don't Miss a Thing' texting service for the day, is steadily gaining subscribers.. all keen not to miss a thing on the day. It is well worth signing up for and is another free service our event offers :-) I still have a few more things I want to try to integrate into the event - more details to follow as and when they come together.. Lastly I am still very much on the hunt for any rare or classic Jaguars I can locate that can make it to our event - If anyone knows of one please, please put them in touch :-)

  13. Five and a half weeks to go until our Jaguar event, and for me at least, time seems to be accelerating :-) This is just a brief midweek update so you know how the preparations are going and the latest info on our event.. We are sticking with the 16 great sponsors we have to-date :-) We have 5 companies confirmed to be attending on the day to meet you! CarSnapped will be there getting some great pictures for us. We are now only 15 Jaguars short of our aim of 100 Jaguars on the day. Our aim of 50 years of production has been met and welll and truly exceeded with 62 years of production now signed up! The event paperwork for the Welcome Packs has now all been printed up ready for the day. The majority of goodie bags and prizes are now in and I am on the case chasing the last few for us. The event banner will be with us in next month for everyone to sign for group photo shoot. Harwoods Jaguar have confirmed we will have a showroom F-Pace on site plus one other car, but they are holding out on what it will be until the day. Everything is pretty much on schedule currently... Please remember if you want to make a great Jaguar weekend out of our event you can get discounted accomodation with guaranteed availability from our accomodation partner HolidayInn Express, and We Love Brighton weill be onsite to likely advise you on the best sights to see etc on the day :-) Additionally, if like me you are busy between periods of rain trying to get your Jaguar ready for the day we have some great discount codes available for you - please make good use of them to keep your costs down. Just to mention, the winner of our 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' judged award on the day will have two great prizes on the day!! I am just waiting on the second prize to come in currently. So if you want to be in with a chance on the day make sure when you park in Madiera Drive you have a filled in dashboard sheet on the dashboard, or the judges won't know you are with us and you won't be considered and good luck! You will retain the title of Best Turned Out Jaguar until next years event as well :-)

  17. OK guys, just so you know how the land lies with things, here is a quick update on things for you, as they stand mid day on Monday :-) We now have 85 Jaguars signed up. 140 people will be attending. We have Jaguars representing production from 1954 through to 2016. I have stopped looking for sponsors for this years event :-) I wanted to get a charity onboard, but am out of time at my end to do so, but am hoping to talk to them more before next years event and get something organised. Our event is very close to being oversubscribed, so as of this morning I have requested some additional supplies from our sponsors to ensure everyone gets goodie bags, samples, info etc. Don't forget to subscribe to our free 'Don't Miss a Thing' texting service for the day, to alert you to all the activities on the day as it goes, ensuring you don't miss a thing. Just email or pm me your name and (UK) mobile number & I will add you to the service. As always we have a packed day ahead of us - I hope you enjoy everything we have managed to pull together for the day, and I look forward to meeting everyone :-)

  19. Welcome to the 2016 Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual. It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year I have been working on gaining much more industry support than previously, more prizes, freebies, discounts, even specialists on site to chat to.. hopefully ensuring that everyone has a fantastic Jaguar day to remember! The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area set aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started. The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered. There will then be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront, creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive. There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event when ordering. The only other cost for the day is the parking which is set to be £3.20 for one hour, £6.00 for 2 hours, £11.00 for 4 hours or £16.00 for 11 hours. CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes) Our itinerary for the day is: 07:45 Sharp Meet at Pease Pottage Services for Welcome Packs and a quick rundown of the day. remember we have an indoor area set saside for us and to get your 20% discount on Costa products by saying you are with the JaguarForums.com event! 08:20 Depart in convoy from Pease Pottage Services for Madiera Drive, Brighton 09:00-10:00 We are booked into the Madiera Harvester for breakfast - they recommend the two of everything for £4.99 plus drinks - remember to state you are with the JaguarForums.com event as they are setting an area aside for us. 10:00 -12:30 General socialising, car inspections, & meet the industry specialists we have onsite. 12:30 Group signing of event banner and photo shoots for the forums, Twitter and Facebook. 12:45 Main prize draw, drawn by Tony from Harwoods Jaguar 12:55 Secondary draw of some specialist items, drawn by the RevsUK team. 13:00 Rowan & Tony will announce the winner of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar' Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £54 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley.
