  1. Would it be alright to fit 18" alloys to my S Type 3.0 S 2004, I am Looking at R342S BBS Monaco alloy Wheels, I presently have 17" wheels

fitted. And could I get a great deal on 4 New tyres for same from someone in the Club.

many thanks for your previous helps I have received.

  2. Thank you for the response, I would be happy to get together one Sunday, a ride out with Lunch somewhere, I saw a link to a Saltash group but I thought I was outside their Catchment area, but if you are Plymouth we could join the Saltash meetings if they still exist.

I have had a few teething problems with my S Type, but the pleasure in driving it, out ways the problems.

    Regards to you Colin

  3. Hi is there anyone out There! All the posts are Three Years old, I live near St.Austell and drive an 11 year old S.Type 3Ltr SE, and wondered if anyone in Cornwall would be interested in the odd Friendly Meeting and Drive.

I hear that this sort of thing goes on all over the Country but as yet I haven't found anything in Cornwall.

Regards to all you Jaguar Owners and Jaguar Lovers.

  4. This is a problem which I have had before, which at the time was corrected using the advice given on this Site, which was to charge the Battery or if that didn't work. Fit new Battery. Charging the Battery worked every time.

The problem reoccurred again this week, so rather than charge what was an 11 year old Battery, I had a New Battery fitted, this did nor cure the problem, But, after a long drive, the next day the problem was gone on my first drive of the day, yet an Hour Later on the return drive it had returned, so I charged the New Battery But, this also has not worked, after about 2 or 3 minutes the Amber warning light illuminates and ' Cruise not available' is displayed.

  5. Suddenly this evening driving with my normal temperature and auto settings, the temperature became unbearably HOT, I had to open the car windows to cope.

The only unusual occurrence was my passenger connected to my Mobile Telephone Parrot device, with bluetooth, then the Heating went wild, I am not sure this fact has any relevance but it was coincidental .

    Happy Christmas Friends,

    Colin

  6. Hi Peter, here's an update on Cruise control. Firstly I charged up the battery, it showed fully charged and holding charge in about 20 minutes. Went on a test drive and my troubles were over! I thought. It engaged correctly and operated completely normally.

But today as soon as I went out again the Fault had returned. 'cruise not available' so on returning I removed the positive connection on the Battery for 10 minutes as suggested, but that still hasn't cured it. I will try to recharge the Battery again tomorrow, as it is looking like I have a poor Battery, wouldn't you say.

    Al,the best my friend,

    Colin

  7. Completely out of the Blue while driving today, a yellow warning light came on with the message,

    :- CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE

Does anyone know what can be done to sort this out, hopefully without waiting weeks foe an appointment at my Local Jaguar Garage.

Once again I thank you in advance for your help and advice.

    Regards to all,

    Colin

  8. Hi Martin, yES, I realise that I can get the job done a great deal cheaper now, I'm a bit disabled though, Flying Accident RAF, so, cannot do the work myself. Once again Thank You,

    Regards

    Colin

Peter I wonder what the good people of Somerset would think that all their troubles started in Manchester !!!

    Cheers mate,

    Colin

  9. For Trevor, the House is a National Trust Property I was visiting, I had delussions of Gandour, so took the photo with the House in the background, I'm afraid my Home is quite ordinary. Thanks for the nice words about my Jag! Yours probably cost 20 times more, so sell the car and buy your Mansion.

For Peter, yes it is a great colour and we just may get a little more Sun down here,

    Regards to you both,

    Colin
