Its the getting into it Peter and I don't fancy taking the head lining down perhaps never get it back right again then look a mess.??? Knowing my luck I bet its not a fuse or a wire problem Frank

Yes with the X type its at the top of the rear screen , It didn't fail because of it but its nice if everything works .??? O.T.H

I had to put my x type 2002 through its 1st M.O.T with me owning it and I had to have some welding done to the sills + a bush on the rear . The hand brake was a bit suspect as it comes up a long way but it passed . I now have only one advisery on the M.O.T and that is the eye level stop light in the rear window dos'nt work .????? How do you put a bulb in there without taking the headlineing down .???? :( O.T.H

Well I'm really pleased with my mpg I don't know what it is exactly but its a lot better than my last car a Audi-- I'm not a hard driver I just stick to the speed limits so that helps . Thanks for the welcome. O.T.H -

Hi Sam yes I am a new comer to the club as well and have only owned my x type for 2 months and like you i love it i was really surprised at the fuel consumption its petrol but much better than most cars ive owned . O.T.H
