  1. Steve, My guests name is Chris Reid, might have told you that when I paid.
  2. Excellent can't wait, Thanks Steve :)
  3. I am sure that all who attended the factory tour on 29th of March would like to join me in thanking Steve for organising this excellent day out. Myself and my brother Stuart went along, and it was extremely interesting to see how much things have moved on from a visit we paid to the Browns Lane plant in 1991/2. Back then the XJ40, XJ-S and series three XJ12 were in production (though we also saw a pre production XJ40 V12 on the line) and the whole process was much more labour intensive and I have to say the place seemed under much more pressure, compared to the fairly relaxed pace at Castle Bromwich. Watching the current XJ being built was fascinating, there used to be a body in white storage facility which was a sight to see, but now everything is run on the 'just in time' method, so no bodies need to be stored which is undoubtedly a more effective way of doing things. All in all an extremely enjoyable day, thanks again Steve ( where are we going next? Aston maybe or Rolls?) Phil
  4. Hi All, glad to join the club and look forward to chatting to you all. I am a long time Jaguar fan and owner and currently run a 2004 XJR which I have owned for 4 years and driven all over the UK and Europe with no more trouble than a burst water pipe. And that happened two weeks ago on the way to my office ! All best for now Phil
