  1. Possibly useful for someone? If it looks to be an earth fault on the rear it could well be a fuse, from memory either 54 or 57 in the boot, brake light fuse. If it has blown it will appear to be an earth fault, reduced output when brake pedal depressed. The reverse and fog lamp will be brightly lit just to con'fuse' you!
  2. S type with touch screen, voice, navigation, cd multi-changer and phone. I see there are a lot of posts on here where the Bluetooth phone does not work. If you have the above and it is showing Telephone Not fitted when the phone button is pressed on the left hand side of the screen it will almost certainly be the unit in the boot. Jaguar want over £500.00 for this unit so not really worth a gamble, Jaguar WDS diagnostics will not eliminate wiring or optics. I took a gamble on this and bought one from eBay @ £49.00, Put it in and it worked right away. If you do this, connect it in the correct sequence (info on here) and make sure neg terminal of battery is disconnected. You will have to re-set your windows after and enter radio code but this is quite straightforward if you have code! I was lucky enough to find an exact match, AD unit but I believe that all later units will fit, i.e. you have 03 so 04-07 will fit.

  4. Hello to all, Lovely to be here. I've had my S type now for 2 weeks and read a lot of posts here (mainly BT phone topics), so if I can, I will try and help others. Will shortly put up a new article for all those who have 'no phone fitted to this vehicle' Tim. (Thanks to all who have welcomed me)
