I take it you've not managed to get yours off!!??
-
I lost count of the amount of them I had to remove at the roadside when I was a recovery mechanic.
-
I notice you have your cup holder exposed. Slide you're armrest forward.
Tip, pull out the cup holder bit and you have a very useful felt lined box hidden underneath!!
-
Have a look here.

I think that may be one retro fit too far even for your talent.
-
So nobody's mentioned that the ideal tyre should be marked up J or JO??
All mine are.
-
I've not had a problem with wind noise on my car, even today at 120mph showing an X type driver he chose the wrong jag was I bothered by wind noise!!
All I heard was the subtle sound of a 2.7 twin turbo V6 diesel purring along!!
-
Probably gave you belts for an X type.
Euro car parts list two different belts but quality is the only difference for around £20.
-
Where are you purchasing said belts from?
-
How old is your battery??
Degrading batteries usually throw up dsc/abs and handbrake faults first.
As for the overheating, is the coolant level ok??
Oh, welcome to the forum.

The jaguar touch screen is the one to go for.
Raistlin is the member with the knowledge as he's just about retro fitted every option available!!
Sure he'll be on soon with his vast experience in the matter!!
Welcome by the way.

Just read my manual, no button if only rear park assist is fitted.
I'd try the fuse first then with the ignition on get someone to go from neutral to reverse and you have your ear to each sensor and listen for an audible click, if one or more don't click it's either sensors or the unit.
-
Torque setting is 125Nm or 92lbf.ft.
Try F29 fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box, by accelerator pedal.
That's the fuse for it.
Is the button in the overhead console lit up red??

Just looking at your post re rpm on the 2.7 diesel. The rpm on my car is exactly 2000 at 70 mph which is also the point at which the second turbo come in, I am told.
Setting cruise control at 68mph on long journeys I get a much better fuel consumption.
Peter.
Yep, my mistake, it's 2000rpm at 70!!
Russ68,
40+ mpg out of a 3ltr petrol auto?!? Never in a million years will any 3ltr auto do that!!
Official figures are extra urban, ie, never pressing the throttle, 35.1, urban, 18.5 and combined 26.4 which is more likely to be achieved.
-
You learn something new everyday!!
-
Thought cruise was standard??
-
What was the trip computer saying??
My diesel at 70 is doing 1500rpm so 2000 to 2500 is probably about right for a petrol.
Is your engine in a good state of service??
It might be an idea to stick a tube of redex in to clean the fuel system and injectors, at around 4quid it's worth a try!!

Generic code readers sometimes don't read all the codes.
Example, my odb2 reader with torque and dashboard apps says my car has no faults.
My AA mate put his textbook tool on and it says blend motor fault!!
Your gearbox fault could be an Oil level fault, have you had any faults before??
-
There I a raft of other minor changes too for example, mk1 doors won't fit a facelift car!!
-
-
The mk1 has a lever handbrake, double din radio and separate nav in a semi circular dash unit,
on the outside it has triangle shaped fog lights, badge on the bonnet and at the rear it has smaller rear lights, a chrome strip above the reg plate.
The mk1.5 if you like, from 02 ish, has the sat nav touch screen in the centre, more jag like, electronic hand brake, different clocks.
On the outside the badge is in the top of the grille, the bumpers are the same on the front and the rear is still the same.
The facelift, from 03 on I think has revised bumpers front and rear, round fog lights and bigger rear lights with a chrome strip extended the width of the boot lid, on the inside, different clocks.

I had them on my 3.0 petrol and they sounded sweet at cruising speeds and throaty when the horses were unleashed!!
Nice on motorways too. Not overly loud.
I now have them on my 2.7d and they sound sweet at cruising speeds and throaty when the horses are unleashed!!
Lovely and quiet on the inside on motorways too!!
And, more importantly, they look good!!
Better than the black painted tips on the old boxes!
