  1. We recently switched from a white 2017 XF Prestige (which we bought new) to a red nearly identical one (because the white one met an unfortunate and unlikely end). The features in the second one are close with a few exceptions. I'm baffled at the lack of Homelink garage door buttons on the red one - I thought almost all cars of this era and beyond had them. As we were removing items from the carcass of the white one, I removed the rearview mirror too in case it could be used on the red one. Question: are the connections for the Homelink system in the housing of the rearview mirror even if the mirror does not have the buttons? Could I switch mirrors and have an operating Homelink system?
  2. We've had our 2017 XF (which we bought new in 2018) for three years now and have always wondered about a login message that we got every time we were at a stoplight. Recently, we also got a message that we had not activated our license yet. I had asked on a different forum a number of times about it and received no responses. I also asked that tech guys from two Jaguar dealers and they had nothing for us. Finally, I waited around and was able to talk to the tech guy at Patrick Jaguar in Naperville, IL. He went to the car with me, checked it out, and found that the memory chip in the back of the console WAS NOT INSERTED ALL THE WAY. It must have been overlooked by the dealer from whom we purchased the car new. After seating it and helping me get registered and logged in, we can now see cool stuff like how busy the streets are on our route. I guess I asked on the wrong forum, eh?
  3. For our first new car ever, we chose an Odyssey Red XF and loved it. Not long after that, I started noticing white road rash chips in front of the rear wheels and I wondered if that was such a good idea. Shortly after that, the XF was totalled at a stoplight and I decided on Polaris white as a replacement. I like the white a lot, but miss the uniqueness of the Odyssey Red. By the way, it was in 2018 that we replaced the XF after the collision, but I still wanted a new 2017 because I thought the 2018 red was a dull color, and because the supercharged V6 was a very expensive option in 2018. Finally, with Odyssey Red being such a unique color around here, does anyone else own an Odyssey Red XF? Dave
  4. I have a set of Jaguar mudflaps for a 2009 XF (or similar) available. They are unused and installation uses existing wheel well screws. Asking $50.
  5. I live in the States and just purchased a 2009 XF - my first Jag. It replaced a Lexus ES330 that was in a very minor accident, but was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. This XF is the fanciest car I've ever owned. It does have a few problems which I will be addressing before long, but the two most concerning ones are: 1. The fuel door is very difficult to open. With the vehicle completely unlocked, I have to push on the trailing edge of it a number of times before it will open. The wife isn't going to like that. 2. The rear passenger side door only locks and unlocks manually with the lever on the inside of that door. For now, we are leaving it locked, but it could get to be a big hassle soon. Any advice on these problems, or just on using the forum?
