Hi Philip , i would have thought that they would fit straight on yours without any spacers . I have had s type wheels on my x type with no problems . From memory i think the s type uses a slightly wider tyre profile , i,m sure one of the other members will be able to clarify this . I had the correct tyres on my rims 225 45 17 . Regards , Andy .

I thought it was just me imagining things . Some of the newer cars have indicators that you can hardly see these days and on some models seem to be getting higher and higher up making them very difficult to see . I think it's more about styling than safety unfortunately .

Where i live there is a lot of not so much waving but one finger salutes between some of the general ( usually BMW and Audi ) drivers on the road .

Hi Karl , i have a 3.0 X- type auto and in sport mode i can certainly feel the difference . In sport mode the car holds on to the gears longer before changing . Maybe you have a faulty button / loose connection . Maybe another member can shed some more light on your problem . Regards , Andy .

I had a full service done on my 3.0 X - Type on 27-04-16 using Castrol Magnatec 5w / 30 Ford spec fully synthetic oil . I have just checked my mileage and have only done 732 miles since . Question is should i change the oil again or will it still be ok . I've had a look on the net and there are many conflicting views . Any ideas ??? Regards , Andy .

Hi Stefan , wow you have had a bad start to Jaguar ownership . I don't think it's a Jaguar thing , just second hand cars in general . I have owned dozens of cars and some have been good to me and some have tested my patience to the limit . I would stick with it , get it sorted and hopefully start enjoying it . Hi Andrew , i had my front calipers refurbished and painted a couple of weeks ago . Here are my rear ones which have just been done as well , one of them the spring and mechanism was seized solid . They have come back like brand new . Regards , Andy .

Had the same problem on a previous vehicle and brake pads were very low , must use more brake fluid to push the pistons further . Put new pads on and warning sound when turning hard right disappeared straight away . Regards , Andy .

I'm buying some new alloys for my X- type very soon and will be looking for some mid range tyres . I have been looking at Toyo Proxes CF2's as they seem to have good reviews on tyrereviews . Has anyone had these tyres or could recommend any others ? Regards , Andy .
