  1. I recently bought a used jag from a dealer but the windscreen, while not actually smeary, is quite difficult to see through due to, I assume, some residual oil or grease or even polish. I regularly have the car cleaned at my local Tesco Bulgarian car cleaners and they always do a first class job but they might be the cause of the problem with polish used on the windscreen. So is there a recognised way of getting the glass cleaned and can I get this done professionally? FF
  2. I've had my 3 litre Portfolio XF S, about two months now. Had a couple of jags in the past but have been a BMW fan for a number of years. 7 series 3 litre 5 series 3 litre. Z4 3 litre and my last one a 3 series GT (not too keen on this one) I am so happy with my 3 litre Portfolio XF S which beats the BMW 5 series for comfort (which I never thought I would say). I do consider it is a little lacking on acceleration but the engine is very smooth and the seats extremely comfortable. Yes, best car I have had for quite a while. Only quibble is the seat heating controls via the touch screen - who thought of that? FF
  3. Trouble with being retired is that you don't get a day off.
  4. I think you will find (you should know if you are as qualified as you say) that the forum 'machine' has not been coded by the people running it but is constructed using a proprietary Forum program. As such it is unlikely that there is an operating problem and if there is, it will only be related to the server that they are using (unlikely) or your own set up.
  5. My wife's iPhone 6 goes perfectly with the XF but my iPhone 5, although seen by Bluetooth will only give the first ring and then no sound at all for conversation. Only way I can use myne in the car is to turn off bluetooth on the phone and stop then talk using the phone only. annoying.
  6. Just joined this forum. about to take delivery of XF after a BMW 3 series GT and a 5 series. Had quite a few jags in the past including two 5 litre gas guzzling XJS (known to many as rust buckets). here we go, back to another Jag. FF
