  2. I’ve driven all over the south of England with it working perfectly. The original radio had a very average sound but now it’s from the phone ( digital I suppose) the sound is 100% clearer. Very surprised tbh.

  9. This might help. I just put my XK8 on ebay and put limits on it. Here's my example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167837175528
  10. Hi Anthony, you have keyless entry and pulling the door handle whilst still having the keys on your person will unlock the door you are pulling on. Try double locking the vehicle - press the lock button twice and have the vehicle chirp to you. Walk away and put the keys at least 2 metres from the car and then walk back to try the door pull again. N6 JMX
  11. I own a 2009 Jaguar XF X250 2.7 V6 (AI-D) and I’m experiencing a strange issue that appears occasionally in the form of vibrations. I’ve noticed that between 40–50 km/h and at low RPMs (especially when going uphill), just before the car needs to downshift, there are quite strong vibrations coming from the rear of the vehicle. The same thing also happens between 70–80 km/h. There are no problems in shifting nor sound from the gearbox, only vibrations from the rear somewhere. I’ve had it checked at Jaguar, but they couldn’t determine the cause of the problem. A workshop has already replaced the center driveshaft without success. Has anyone experienced something similar or have an idea what this could be? Thanks in advance

  13. I would look into having them remanufactured by a hydraulic fitters company. If you sent the eBay lot to them they could work them over. Since you now have a spare set you should look into it.
  14. Did you renew the fuel filter as well?

  18. OK, hopefully I am not breaking any rules here (I know the UK government doesn't allow free speech 🙂 ) I am doing various jobs on my newly acquired S Type R and post on my channel JAGVETTE1 please check it out and if you like it please subscribe I do it for fun not profit, I make mistakes and I show them, I am a mechanic with more years of experience than I care to remember, BUT I know you are NEVER too old to learn. Thanks in advance Gary
  19. OK, thanks for all the responses, you guys are great
  20. The situation has worsened now as if I try to start the car in the morning, it spins over like crazy but won't start. If I then cycle the ignition on and off about 10 times then it will start straight away. My thinking was that perhaps the check valve in the tank fuel pump was leaking back but when I removed the delivery pipe from the pump, it was full and the fuel did not disappear from the outlet stub, indicating no leak-back. In any case, with the ignition on, the pump runs continuously so switching the ignition on/off shouldn't be the cure. This only happened before if I locked the car but now it happens locked or unlocked and depending on the length of time that it has not run determines the number of ignition cycles I have to make. If it is off for an hour then probably only two. I am still leaning towards a faulty immobiliser but would welcome any constructive comments.
  21. forgt to mention, that i have no issues with insurance either, remap or other cosmetic changes. premium didn't rose up even!

  23. Owned my new Jaguar for 3 weeks , wasn't expecting a Jag to be my first car but something just felt right about it! It’s a Jaguar X type 3.0 v6 sovereign edition! If someone could maybe advise how rare these are (if they are in anyway!) and if they are sought after that would be great? As noticed not many for sale and registered , Happy to have joined!

  24. Went for a long drive, steering much heavier in Dynamic mode at speed, checked all other suggestions, all OK, wife drove back, and she's happy, happy life, hope this helps.
  25. First thing to do is read the codes. If the battery is indeed not charging then that will upset the engine manangement and many other things. It could be there's a short to earth in the warning light circuit which will cause this. There could be a number of other reasons for it as well, i'd suggest searching for a local Jag independent specialist and/or a good autoelectrician.
  26. No codes, showing anything, already checked 😞
  27. Hi guys so last two days iv heard the sub not sounding too well (couldn't handle the hardstyle and drum&bass i suppose) today it has completely blown iv lifted the sub box out of the boot and removed the sub, is it possible to replace the sub with an aftermarket sub still utilising the oem sub box or will I have to find a decent oem sub?
  28. If it appears mostly after a start after a period of inactivity then i would suggest the battery voltage is getting a bit low. Keep an eye on it and see if that's when it mostly comes.
