  2. oops 😉 haven't seen alarm off procedure myself, would be interesting to see.
  3. That where I have a problem, the manual I have gives many different settings for the alarm, including pressing a button inside, the door unlock button, it all seams a little vague Also I am not 100% certain the manual i got with the car is the right one for this car. There a few other things i have looked up and have not worked, like memory seats.....nearly crushed myself on the steering wheel!

  5. Hi Roy, welcome to the wonderful world of Jaguar motoring. Be sure to post a few photos when you can. N6 JMX
  6. Hi Brian, sounds quite serious, but I suspect they may well be electrical related - the battery on a Modern XK is a central part of its nervous system. You say your battery "died", is the replacement new and fully charged? The faults you experienced with ABS, DSC, etc, are all symptomatic of a poor battery, unable to provide a stable voltage to the sensitive electronics. It may be the case with brakes that the electronic parking brake (EPB) has been stuck on due to a poor signal associated with the battery condition, you are likely going to need access to a full Jaguar or Autologic diagnostic equipment to fully check and reset the brain of the car. Good luck and please report back any progress. N6 JMX

  9. Good evening 2007 xk x150 weird problem, firstly my battery died . I replaced it then ABS fault DSC unavailable and engine lights came on, I had the codes cleared, drove 100 yards they came back on. Changed the ABS sensors on the front. Cleared codes same issue came up after driving a mile DSC light started flashing car went into limp mode , brakes seemed to come on, and grinding noise heard, I stopped as soon as I could smoke was by then coming from rear N/S brakes which then went on fire. I managed to put the flames out but car is now stranded. Has anyone else experienced similar please ? Any help appreciated. Thank you.
  10. This is a known but not common issue. The hood can be resealed, after suitable cleaning of the old adhesive with Welcon surface cleaner, by using a glue called Teromix 6700. N6 JMX

  16. hi front lights and front indicators not working no lights on the dash and no warning on dash no main beam no interior lights the boot release button also not working can anyone help me what to look at thank you
  17. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll get on it! I've seen a lot of info about SDD, sounds like i'll be investing. Genuinely though, if it takes getting someone over then I'll do it. The car is too pretty for it to be left not running!
  18. howdy, welcome to the fold
  19. hey, i've seen somehwere someone had same issue, but xf if memory serves right. he removed front seat completely to make more space, undid door card screws, popped it all around hen just wiggled door card out. not sure if it's possible on x type, but food for thought. let us know how you get on
  20. blimey, seems bit drastic to just disconnect cluster and then 'loosing' it completely - there must have been more to this than only disconnect 'issue' (not saying of your doing) 😐 your best option is to get SDD software and let someone program it remotely - this way you won't need anyone to fly over 😉 if you are on facebook, join jaguar forums, there's programming magician Sul Jay, i'm sure he will help. let us know how you get on.
