finally sorted it, and it was such a simple fix, if anyone experiences this problem here are the simple steps to fix the issue, 1. open boot and disconnect the neg (-) terminal 2. leave disconnected for 5 minuets 3. touch the negative (-) lead to the positive (+) and hold it there for 30 seconds. 4. close boot lid manually. 5. press and hold pan roof open button. you may also have to reset the handbrake by holding down the foot brake and applying the handbrake. after doing this mine is all working fine even on the remote fob. hope this might help anyone else with the same issue i had.

You're welcome - as an afterthought, if it's not sensing the CKP, it could be the other sensor is doing what it should but as there's an incorrect signal from the CKP, it reads the other one as faulty too. I'd do a reset after fitting the CKP and see what you've got.

Welcome aboard and GLWTS - always wanted an XJ-S of that age and it has the twin headlamp conversion i've always preferred. Sadly i recently splashed out on something for practical purposes rather than an "occasional" car or i'd be biting your had off - i'm sure someone else will feel like i do so i doubt it'll hang around for long!

Thank you for the information 🙏👍

hi there I’m new I have read the rules and I hope this conforms and is okay the car is located in Suffolk near Woodbridge it’s Just passed the mot with 1 advisory which was an imbalance on the hand brake which has been sorted. It’s a very tidy car with mostly original paint it does have a few minor imperfections but generally looks fantastic. It drives beautifully and every bushing has been replaced on the front suspension meaning the car drives very solid I am open to offers as the most important thing is that it goes to a good home. I’m unfortunately having to sell due to moving house. If you would like any more pictures videos etc please just ask I’m more than happy to answer any questions. Also viewing is more than welcome the cars currently dry stored in a hanger. I’m looking for around £7000 however offers are welcome.

The local car dismantlers will not accept them as they are already off the car and could be stolen ?.the car has since been scrapped after i sold the body engine and gearbox. To a buyer who wanted to fit the running gear into a mk11 capri

Where are you? If it were me I'd take them to my local Jaguar dismantler or general breakers. They will be happy to receive them and anyway car parts are not accepted at local household refuse centers.

Making the rear drop links suitable for fit. Created a 17mm hex from the boot/bearing surface and reduced the bolt length, since the deflector prevents use of a spanner and the extra length blocks a socket.

Had some goof hit the door & front wing. Waited until a breaker had parts then swapped the door (same paint code) -£30 and filled/painted the wing. What is wrong with some people (insurance assessors)?

Hi Martin - Confused we are! The XJC does not have a canvas part. On the other hand, the XJSC does have a "Hard Top + a Canvas Rear" - what car are you looking at? Photo please. N6 JMX

Hi all, had various cats over years and looking now at a XJC…….oooh exciting! I’m amazed how rust free it is which I know is rare! Question……it “ only” has the rear “Hardtop” part not the “ Canvas” part, I’ve had a quick search but it’s looking like around grand….. anyone know of any second hand ones around? If I purchase…I’ll be back!

Hi Neal and welcome. Lovely looking car 🙂 As a starter I would suggest you acquire a trickle charger to keep the battery topped up and if the battery is at all suspect, or over 5 years old, I would replace it as lots of those "surprise electrical issues" are the result of low battery voltage. Good luck with your custody of the old cat 🙂 John

No doubt the usual sorta things. Electrical stuff. Windows, side rear mirror adjusters, no odometer, gas gauge are the most egregious at the moment.

Hello folks. New to Jaguars. A friend entrusted us with the care and feeding of his '87 Jaguar XJ6. With no owners manual and the previous owner's fading and failing memory, I'm a bit out to sea so have tons of questions and minor, surprise, electrical issues I would love to be able to resolve. Thus, joining this forum. We are located in the Pacific NW of the US. Thanks, hope to learn a bunch, like what kind of oil to use and such. .

Just had my 2007 2.7d s written off due to a minor front wing dent. (See pic) didn't let her go though. Cat N uneconomic to repair( joke) would rather pay me the best part of 2k than spend £350 to repair( quoted by a local body shop) i have used before and do vintage restorations. Only problem now is car will remain on insurance list as a cat N.. insurance company must have an ongoing deal with copart. As they text me to ask when they could collect the car. Told them never. Anyone else had this happen

Still have the panels. Do not want the scrappy to have them and take them to be crushed.

Here are some options on the CKP : https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=jaguar+f+pace+crank+position+sensor&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2332490.m570.l1313 Can't find the other sensor you mention using your description on ebay but if you try the other usual suspects such as Amazon, ECP and so on you'll probably find one.

Hi all, New to the club, but have wanted an F pace for a long time , albeit it I'm repairing a damaged car! 😕, I have 2 fault codes , P0715 input/turbine speed sensor and P2617 crankshaft position signal output circuit/open, Questions are, are they expensive, and would I be able to change them myself?, Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊👍

Hi Nicholas, suggest you talk to the folks at SNG Barrett for more insight, but be aware that they also will want to sell you the parts. The best person I know to ask about the upgrade to this type of Jaguar is Ken Jenkins, who trades his garage as Carlton Autos Ltd. Website link below. Hi Mark, not exactly in London, but I have heard good things about Cotswold Automotive Parts (CAP) in Oxfordshire, who have repaired a number of electronic faults on members cars in the past. Website link below: Jaguar & Land Rover parts and accessories | Bicester N6 JMX
