urgent help needed please read for a xtype

hi all i have flat battery but cant open the bonnet it unlocks one side but seems to be still locked on the another side  please help its a xtype

Looks like your bonnet cable has snapped on one side, this happened to us .

You have to jack it up and get underneath with a long stick and a torch to move the catch lever.

We found it better when we looked at another jag to see how it moved

That sound a practical solution.

 

My solution for years was just hit it with a lump hammer, but I think that might damage the body work,
