Want to get some touch up paint for my newly bought S Type R, the code on the sticker in the passenger door opening states HGP which I understand is Aspen Green

Unless my eyes deceive me, my car is metallic grey

Is Aspen Green very grey looking or can someone suggest what my paint code actually is

Andrew,

The code HGP/1945 states it is Aspen pearl-met (metalic)

Which should look like this (Grey to me as well)

Hi Andrew,

There is a site that I will look up.  All you need to do is put in your VIN number and it will tell you what the colour is.

That is probably the only site that you can get Jaguar Paint from.  Of course, you could go to a Jaguar main Dealer ------------

Regards,

Peter

Hi Andy,

I have just had a look at a site in the USA called GTcarlot.com

You can find any colour for any car, and I have looked up a 2002 4 litre in Aspen Green Metallic.  From the picture it seems to look grey, but in the sunlight there seems to be a green metallic element.

My S Type is Indigo Blue, which looks just like any dark blue car, but in the sun a more brilliant blue shines through.

Regards,

Peter.

hi andrew, it looks the same as mine. slate grey. but just to be sure. call up any jaguar dealer ask for the service dept. then give them your vin no. they will then tell you the coulor no need to go to them just phone. you will then be able to buy touch up pen ect from halfords ect. happy motoring charlie

Thanks for all the responses, I'm in Belgium this week and wanted some touch up paint waiting for me at the weekend, phoned a paint company, gave them my registration numer and they will source the correct code for me and mix it - definitely not green -)

  • 4 weeks later...

If you open the front passenger door there is a label on the inboard side of the hinged end which carries the paint and trim codes. The paint code on mine is a three letter code. My reg. document shows gold as the colour but it's actually called topaz (code SEC)

Just Google the paint code with something helpful like "Jaguar paint code" and you'll get the answer.

Hope this helps.
