Hi every one,I have a 2003 3.0 se sport s type .i've had it for 7 years and it's still in tip top condition , it used to be owned by the chief constable of Yorkshire so it has all the toys factory fitted and I still get a buzz from driving it.Last year I only clocked 2800 miles.

Welcome to the Club, Rob,

I have the rather sedate 2.7Diesel.  It will only do 142 mph!

All the s type models are very nice cars.

Regards,

Peter.

i did 145 and it was still going but I chickened out and it took a long time to slow down, that was a couple of years ago near saarbruckjen in Germany

I chicken out at around 70mph when my wife is in the passenger seat, Rob, but I was driving fast bikes in the sixties and know what it feels like at 100 +.

Did have a n odd misfire at about 40mph ,a while back, changed coil packs plugs ect and nobody wanted to touch it,turned out it was a faulty speed sensor damaged by a worn cv joint on the offside rear.Acted like a bacon slicer on the sensor, took a £500 to figure what war wrong!!

Rob,

My first car was an angle box.

Take your car down the A303 early morning  and open up the taps !

ATB,

Trevor
