Saga with my s type continues plugged into a fault finding laptop and it came up with P1576 anyone know what this is as it was jaguar specific

Hi mjr,

The fault code P1576 is the Accelerator position fault code  --  it could be a failed APP sensor.

It could be something to do with the throttle body.

But not being an engineer I don't know how to fix it!

Regards,

Peter.

P 1576 is Pedal position not available. sounds to me like a sensor at the pedal end as opposed to throttle body.

It could be , Stan.  There are two codes referring to the APP and a very indeterminate answer from Fixya, but both seem to indicate a failing/failed sensor.

Peter.

How ever did we manage without sensors Peter.

Stan.
