Hello,

What are your experience on driving with wheels sizes in Subject. I read a bit and see difference in visual style and performance. I am very interested what is your experience and what would you recomend personaly?

Luks,

I had 20" wheels on both my XJ Supersport and XKR, and they were fine, and also looked good.

Some people reckon they give a harsher ride, but I never had a problem, and the cart tracks here in Devon leave a lot to be desired !

Hi Luks,

A lot depends on the car you are driving. For the x type [i had a 2.5 AWD] the 17" wheels were regarded as the optimum, and gave a comfortable ride as well as a fast one on the X type, which is 12 inches or more shorter than the XJ. It also has a smaller engine and less bodyweight.

Also a lot depends on the colour of the car if you are looking for appearance.  A white car spells black wheels, and any other colour says silver.

Stick with the 17" though!

I will look out for you when I am in Galway in the summer.

Regards,

Peter.

What would be the offset changing from 20" to 18" on a XKR? I detest the BBS wheels and the method of checking tyre pressures.

Got 19's for sale. 😉 looks fantastic with no loss in ride comfort or acceleration. If fact i would say its better plus the handling! Had 17's before....

Any photographs Danburydale? What are the condition? What are the offsets? What are the wheel widths  i.e font 8.5 rear 9.5 etc what did they come off and lastly how much.

Pic below of them on the car. I can get up close ones if need be. They are BRAND NEW and i mean BRAND NEW!  So condition is.....as new! They didnt come of anything! I purchased them special order from Germany so they have only been fitted to my car. For 2 months and 1 month of that its been in the garage. As far as offset ill dig out invoice and have a look as top of head i dont know. Im selling them WITH the new tyres for £800. Making a huge loss on them 😯 but car is up for sale.
