Hi,  Just purchased a 2003 V6 3.0Ltr and so far absolutely love it.   Usual questions, it's done 98000 miles, what do I need to look out for, and any tips to keep it sweet would be thankfully received..

Hi guys

Only joined this morning and got a question already, chatting a guy this morning and he said I should be putting the better quality petrol in my 3.0 l tr s type 2004. I have had the car a month and have always used regular unleaded

Hi there.Well mate mines a 2.1 v6 sport and we"ve done 116k and ive just done a 1200 mile trip and it never missed a beat,i had a mot yesterday and i found with mine being a 2002 that that year the sills were bad and mine need to be changed, thats my next project.a mate of mine has a 2003 and his sills are a bit nasty, the only other issues i have come across is calipers, the pistons seem to stick up,and thats all mine has ever had it pulls like a train the Oil never gets blackened, and the cooling system does not get dirty.but have a good check of your sills,if thats any help.

Forecourt fuel is better than supermarket fuel generally speaking,  Better additives in it.  With my S type being a 2.7 diesel I tend to Shell V power as I get a better mpg and the car is smoother.

You car will run quite well on forecourt regular petrol, but a tankful of the special stop once in a while will do it a bit of good.
