Hi there,X type 2.5 petrol 2007, do I need to put higher grade oil in my Auto box if towing a caravan regular. Cheers, Stilo

Hi Anthony, and welcome to the club.

I towed a caravan with a 2.5 petrol auto Rover Sterling for11 years and used the gearbox oil as recommended by Rover.

I guess that if you use the oil recommended by by Jaguar you won't have any issues.

Regards,

Peter.

i asked the same and was told i didnt need a higher grade oil hope this helps

regards ron
