Hi Andy and welcome to THE JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB. I'm sure you are going to enjoy the ownership of the S Type along with being a member of the club. There is a meeting of fellow members coming up in Crieff (Scotland) whilst I am attempting to arrange a meeting in South Wales, another is again attempting to arrange a meeting in Cornwall

Nice car, Andy and welcome to the club.

The  S type is a great car to drive, and you have got a very quick one to enjoy.

I have been driving for over 50 years and the S type is the best car I have ever had.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Andy. Good choice! I had my 4.2 s-type for 4 years (Sheffield!) 52,000mls and a fabulous vehicle! Only problems I had was 2 ABS sensors and gear selector sticking in 'Park' which resulted in a new J-gate (ouch!) fitted by Sheffield Prestige. I very reluctantly px-ed it about a month ago much to my wife's dismay and have now got 2004 XKR which is a great car, but still miss my s-type!

Welcome to the club, John.

There are quite a few XK owners in the Club.  Just after we got the s type, my wife said she preferred the XK.

I had to point out that we needed 4 seats as the Grandchildren are growing up!

Regards,

Peter.

Thanks for the welcome Peter. Our grand daughters are both age 20+ so no problems re. seating! It would, however, be nigh-on impossible to insert a child of any age into the back of an XK!  Regards, John.
