I've bought a new linkage from Jaguar, so the next step is to fit it.

Has anyone done that? I had a look, but couldn't find any instructions. Apologies if I've missed something obvious.

yes, you have to take the arms off then the valance/panel held on with torque screws and plastic clips on front, then there is 4 10mm bolts holding linkage, once you get that done getting it past the brake servo is a pain you just keep wriggling it off the middle pin then move it more to the nearside tilting it from bottom to top then disconnect the wiring plug. it dose go but is a pain. hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, really useful. Decided to let the local mechanic do it!

Just my experience, but I had little trouble changing my wiper blades without having to remove the arms.

They are held by a hook on the wiper arm and I found that lifting the bonnet and just slightly raising the wipers off the windscreen I was able to detach the wiper blades from the arms and fit new items just as easily
