OK, today I am continuing to try to organise something with a coffee-house for us (they do tea/coffee/soft drinks etc) at the very start of the event, and later in the week I will be doing the rounds again to see if I can get any closer to organising some discounted accomodation for any attendees making a weekend of the event.

At this point in time we have had over 16000 forum thread hits, have 60 Twitter followers and 10 facebook friends - an incredible level of interest for our event!

Thankyou to everyone who has got involved with our event so far - thanks to everyone from sponsors, to representatives on-site, through to all the attendees signing up - you are helping us to make the best Jaguar day out by the seaside fantastic!

Is this on the normal JOC FB page, or is there a separate page for the event ??

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - most likely to be on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar only event, and I am working on gaining much more industry support than previously, trying to get close to matching Jims last organised event :-), and ensuring that everyone has a fantastic day to remember.

There will be a convoy on the morning from Pease Pottage Services to the seafront, with us all setting up camp in one huge parking block prior to a fantastic breakfast with a sea view, and the main meet with as much going on as I can pull together for us
including a free raffle for a number of must-have goodies, industry reps (see Industry Attendees list below to see who will have reps onsite) for you to quiz with problems, discounts etc etc. Plus the usual Welcome Packs on the day with free samples, info etc etc.

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. If you prefer, you are also very welcome to sign up by dropping a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk :-)

Time for a quick update on our event:

Our forum threads have now amassed over 16500 hits!
The Facebook page for our event now has 12 friends
Our Twitter feed has stabilised at 59 followers
We have 10 major sponsors
Three industry reps will be onsite on the day

Thankyou to everyone for your interest and support in our event - we are well on our way to our largest Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet to-date :-)

I have started to ease off on chasing potential sponsors for the moment, and am concentrating on sorting our hot drinks for the start of the event, and accomodation discounts for those of you wanting to make a weekend of the event. These two things are taking a little longer to organise than I had expected so am now concentrating on sorting these before I move on..

As always if anyone has any ideas or thoughts that we could possibly implement please, please just let me know - no guarantees but I am very open to ideas :-)

Hi Wessex, Very happy to add you both in for the event - there is already plenty going on on the day for you and your cat, and I am still working on more.. add to this the seaside, a big breakfast, and everything Brighton can offer and I am sure you will both have a great day.

Additionally I am glad to be able to announce that there has now been some movement on the coffee house sponsorship, and I should now know more on Thursday this week with regards to what they can do for us - I will let you guys know as soon as I know more :-)

I am also glad to announce that we have a new sponsor with the 'Prestige Car Care Shop' offering attendees a discount on their entire exclusive Adam's product range which covers everything from polishes to buffers, sealants through to air fresheners - why not have a look at www.prestigecarcareshop.com and see what you think?

There is more going on still, and as always keep an eye on this thread - I will update it as I go with the the latest on our event :-)
