every now and then the exhaust on my 2.7 diesel gets very very hot at the tail pipes ,engine is at normal temp ,i'm hoping this is to do with the dpf cleaning cycle .but a bit of advise would help.

Hi Paul,

 

I think you are probably right about the DPF regeneration.  My engine got quite hot on Tuesday but it was the first long run for about three weeks.  It does need to be quite hot to burn off the soot.

hi paul you could always take it into  national get them to put it up on the ramps check it out for you ;)
