Over the last two years many members have given some great answers to questions posed.  Being a nitpicker by profession, I have copied all these posts for future reference, and one day I will put them all  together, possibly bind them and put with the Owners' Manual.

A couple of days ago I had the message centre tell me that my car was due for service in 850 miles, and then 1100 miles, and then back to 850 miles. The message goes off quite quickly.

I looked through all my papers, and found the one that resets the message centre. You need two hands on the right side of your body, and the process has to be done within 3 seconds, but at the third go the lovely message came up that it was resetting, and then the message that the message centre had been reset.

Job done!

Peter.

That trick is even simpler if you have pre-hensile toes Peter

Still a worthwhile trick to have annotated in your glovebox manual. My car occasionally throws that sort of information up as well.
