Hi gents I am after a little advice.

I recently bought a 2.0d x type estate 2006 and amongst a few problems, which the dealer is sorting, was the sat nav wasn't working it kept saying the disc inserted wasn't a map dvd. We tried a few discs from a 2004-2011/12? But kept saying it wasn't a map dvd. The dealer swapped the player for a different one which is working fine. It is using a2004v1 disc.

The questions are ;

1). The logo screen has now turned from the black jaguar logo to a green jaguar logo, can it be reverted?

2). Can I update from the 2004 disc to newer disc and if so is it just a simple swap of discs?

I appreciate that it had been downgraded to start again but I don't fancy using maps that are 10-12

Years old.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Andy

Hi Andy,

You can get a disc from various companies on the internet, usually between £20 and £30.

It is just a simple swop and the disc you will get is the last one made for the S Type and x type.

So is just a matter of swapping discs and hey presto.

Is there a preferred buyer to purchase the discs from?

Thanks for the advice.

Hi Andy,

I've bought two satnav disc upgrades from www.satnavdvd.co.uk for both my XFS and XK, and both were just 'insert and play'.

It just takes a few minutes to upload. Should be £24.99 or thereabouts.

Regards,

Graham.
