Oh well, time to peruse the diagrams and see if it's a viable retro-fit

On further reflection, and a quick test. The Princess does in fact have bulb failure warning.

 

I originally removed one of the secondary rear light bulbs but of course the brake light bulb also has a rear light filament so it didn't show up as a bulb failure.

 

I just removed the brake light bulb and the failure showed up. I'm pleased about that as a car of this calibre should have had that sort of thing as standard, in my view :)
