Adamesh Exhaust

Featured Replies

Asking for advice, anybody ever fitted an Adamesh performance exhaust to a S type Diesel, not looking for vast improvement in performance just want the big cat to purr with a more substantial growl. Have a friend with an R and the sound is a beautiful deep roar, just don't know if the sound would be similar on the somewhat smaller engine with totally different running characteristics. Your views would be appreciated before I part company with my hard earned cash

HI

its a diesel youll never get the same sound of the V8 petrol

if you look on youtube there's a x-type diesel with a quicksilver sports exhausts

it still sounds like a tractor, I think you wasting your money

usually with diesels with sports exhaust you just get a louder gushing noise from the exhaust

there no diesel v6 jags on you tube with adamesh systems so that should answer your question

cheers

Cheers Joe , that's all I wanted a definitive answer. Regards Ian.

Hi Ian,

Joe is quite correct.  What I look for in a diesel is its quietness when cruising, and just a gentle rumble when at low revs.

I have had three diesels, the first one being a Rover 418 with the Peugeot engine, which always sounded like a Massey Ferguson on startup, but went as quiet as a mouse when the turbo cut in when the revs increased.

Regards,

Peter.
