hi all,聽

got my first jag a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't specifically looking for an x type, just wanted a car I could take some pride in after a scruffy high mileage vectra, and that's just what I got. One owner, x type 2.0d se, 2004, 65k, full main dealer service, new mot and warranty, any bits of paintwork (wing mirror, one trolley scar) professionally done, and one very happy me. Still looking out the window gazing at her and amazed I have a jag lol. Only thing I've done is to run power from cig lighter into a double 12v and usb socket mounted in the glovebox where my fm transmitter hides. I must say the jag wiring must be of better quality than previous cars I've had because music played through that sounds like a cd, not the usual interference heavy mess those transmitters usually are. Oh, and in some ways the best bit, due to someone messing up with a sump plug after a service and the engine not being happy, new engine fitted at 40k 馃槅馃槅馃槅馃槅. Anyways, looks like a great club and glad I found it.image.thumb.jpg.0bbc903ed0f7f7e3705366f6

Welcome to the Jaguar Owners' Club Beaves

Really friendly bunch here and a fair bit of knowledge just waiting to be tapped. Your X-Type looks terrific. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi Beaves, and welcome to the club.

The x type is a great car and much underrated, and the 2.0 litre Diesel engine [Ford Duratorq] is聽very frugal and reliable.

The club is a friendly and helpful club and to get the most from the members it is helpful to fill up the details on your profile.

Regards,

Peter.
