Hi all

I have just come back from holiday and when using my navigation system I had no voice, I have checked the volume and voice is switched on but still get nothing, has anyone else had this

problem and would be grateful for any help about this problem?

Hi Alan,

I had this once, and found that it was something  to do with the mute button, and a look at the handbook gave me the information I needed.

It is almost certainly in the settings.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter

Thanks have searched settings and mute was ok checked wiring to DVD and found optical connector was disconnected and connected to the cd changer, will need to get a 4 way lead so I can reconnect the  DVD player as well as the cd changer. only discovered it yesterday so now looking out for a 4 way fibre optic lead to replace the one in there which labelled CDDJ, NAV & VOICE/PHONE. I assume jaguar must make such a beast

Regards,

Alan

Make sure it has all the connectors you require, one female and one for each piece of equipment. Mine has five plus the female connector so have used a loop on the spare one. I bought mine from eBay but had a problem which was a damaged connector , not very easy to spot . Very easy to swap one from my old d2b lead though.

Hi Gary

thanks that is useful maybe better to get the one with five on so I would have a spare if I decide on the voice unit.

If you do that, you will be in the same boat Alan.

It makes absolutely no difference where the modules go on the D2B loop, but all terminals must be populated.

If you choose to have one more than you need with a view to adding more in future, you must terminate the unpopulated connector with a loop. I've got a few and can let you have one if you want.

D2B cables are easy to modify though. I tend to build a cable to suit the requirements from amongst a box of D2B cables and connectors :)

Thanks Paul how much would you charge for a 4 way lead as I have SATNAV CDC and PHONE

can you get the plugs separately so I could add to the cable if I did fit the voice unit?

Regards, Alan

Hi Alan, I'm not in the charging business, preferring to give back some of the help others on the forum have shown me.

I'm sending you a PM with a possible solution
