Hi, I have had an Jaguar XF Luxury for 2 years and it has developed a fault with the back of the driver's seat. It creaks and clicks when you are driving and is particularly annoying when it is hot weather. It is still under warranty and Marshall Jaguar at Peterborough ordered the parts and 8 weeks later I am still waiting on the repairs even though they classified the fault as URGENT. The excuse is that they are waiting on parts from the manufacturer and they are on back order and I will just have to wait. I was also told it was a known fault. I have now complained to Jaguar Customer Services dept and after a week they replied saying there is nothing they can do about it, I will just have to wait until the seat manufacturer produces the parts.

I am not impressed, I did not buy a Jaguar to have to drive about with a known fault for over at least 2 months so I need the name of someone to complain to at Jaguar who will take action. If I had known this I would not have bought a Jaguar. It is a very nice car with a very annoying fault.

Anyone out there got any contacts or had any success in the past?

Welcome to the Club, Bob.

I understand your problem can only offer one solution which has worked in the past with other companies.

Find out who is the CEO of Jaguar UK, and write to him.  A nice polite letter  works wonders  --- sometimes.  If you can get a telephone number all the better.

I had a big indue with British Gas, and managed to get through to the MD's Personal Assistant, which got the job done immediately and a Cheque for £25 for being inconvenienced.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.
